Dear Holiday Ramblers I want to assure you that the Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicle Club will continue to provide opportunities to use your RV and the fun that you have enjoyed in the past. Your Directors and the COO have been taking the necessary actions to insure the Club will be around for all of us to enjoy. All the National Rallies and the International Rally scheduled for this year, will take place as planned. All Caravans/Adventures, that have enough units signed up by their cutoff date, will go as planned. There may be a few changes as a result of the times; greater use of the internet to communicate with the membership and more emphasis on State and Chapter activities. The free repair service at our National and International Rallies may not be available. However, every effort will be made to have service technicians available for repair work at discounted rates. The recent actions by the Monaco Corporation were not a complete surprise. Last fall the Clubs Office was relocated from a Monaco provided building. Expenses have been cut in all areas. Office staff positions have been eliminated by reassigning duties and responsibilities to further reduce costs. The business actions taken by the Monaco Corporation were necessary for them to continue to operate as a business. They are working toward securing either financial support or a sale transaction that will allow operations to resume. They fully expect to be back in operation, manufacturing Holiday Rambler units. We are regularly kept informed by Monacos representative on the Clubs Board. His advice is to Be Patient. There appears to be light at the end of the tunnel. HRRVC is your Club, my Club, and our Club. By working together, with each of us promoting the Club, supporting its programs and activities, we will maintain a strong viable Club. Travel safely and well be looking for you down the road. Phil Cline HRRVC National President |
