Many of you have seen him at past Western Sunshine Rallies and you KNOW how much fun and energy he brings. We will have him set in an evening caberet and we’ll have dancing, sing along and who knows what. That much, you know. Anything can happen.
We’ll feed you with some good old fashioned miners chow, wear you out with outdoor games and enrich your lives with educational and technical seminars and presentations. You KNOW how that goes. We even have some new-to-Arizona stuff planned so you don’t want to miss anything. And those folks over in Yuma are already working hard to make our rally look great, too.
This year we have held the rally fee at last year’s amount and have ADDED one additional day of parking INCLUDED in that fee. So, we are working to give you a good value for your rally dollar. We hope to see you ALL in October.
REMEMBER- Gold Canyon RV Resort just East of Apache Junction on US 60, the Superstition Freeway, October 26-31. YOU GET five nights camping, six meals, five seminars, outdoor games, surprises, entertainment and HARRY MATHEWS SHOW!

SEWING AND QUILT CLASSES
HRRVC International Rally
August 4-8, 2008
TO: Craft People,
FROM: Nancy Williams
I am sending this notice to you to get ideas on Serger and Sewing machine classes that you might like to have added to our Craft Workshops.
Below is a list of ideas that I thought might be useful. Please check the ones that you might be interested in doing. This will give me an idea of your likes and dislikes.
Most of the sewing classes would be small10-15 people. You would need to bring your own machine (in proper working condition). You will also need to know how to use your machine along with your sewing notions, cutting boards, rotary cutters, irons, etc. We will be giving you listings of material yardages; or some of the class materials could possibly be made into kits.from quilt shop/teacher.
IDEA LIST
O Serger Class Broomstick Skirt that can be made from beginning to end with 3 measurements and approximately 4 yards of material. This can be completed in a 1 day class or 2 half days.
O Quilting classes - Easy and Advanced Classes
O Trunk show from a local quilt shop
O Place mats by machine or serger
O Small mini wall hangings
O Embroidery work on your machines.
O Make a simple vest
O Monogram or design on Bath Towels or Kitchen Towels
O Basic Beginners quilt classes. The very basic and very easy patterns.
O Have a quilt show to share information with others about the quilts you have made
or are in the process of making. (Example: “A Show and Tell “)
O A repeat class using the “X Block” that was taught last year in DuQuoin.
O A Carpenter Star that was taught last year in DuQuoin.
O A fabric swap (like the one that was done with black and white fabric last year). The
fabric could be used for a split rail and nine patch quilt like those taught at DuQuoin.
O A simple small shoulder bag for cell phone, glasses, and/or credit card and money.
O An easy Christmas Stocking
O Meeting to possibly organize a Holiday Rambler Quilt Chapter
If you know of a local shop in the Goshen/Elkhart areas that would be interested in teaching classes like those that we had in DuQuoin, would you please list their name and phone number, and e-mail below:
